After much thought and discussion, Paul and Patrick decided to not hold a BSides Rhode Island in 2014. With weighing out certain factors, we decided that if we can't give the community the most kickass BSides possible, we're not going to do it at all. So rather than do it half-assed, we're going to lay low for 2014. But that doesn't mean we're "one and done". We are looking at some things for 2015, and we don't just mean simply do a BSides RI. We're actually looking to go big. Much bigger. So stay tuned and thank you for being with us.

What is BSides?

Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members.  The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time.  It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.
